"fight" #47

they scorn the adorned
hurling mud in their way
unknowing, they can't touch them
or even ruin their day

jealousy fumes
and they don't know why
they hate the elect
they want them to die

kill them they might
but hurt them, they will not
their pain has already been
in the fight that they've fought

" taking orders"

this is a fight, a struggle, and a war
awake to dishes from the night before
living in combat, hand to hand
serving a lunch to a child not "planned"
life can be summed up, taking orders
whether at home, work, or at the enemy's border
the task for the soldier and waitress is same
fighting and serving is their ultimate aim
different indeed, their roles can't compare
taking orders, perhaps, is what they commonly share
